Simon currently leads the Systra ANZ Transport Planning and Operational Planning practice. He has over 30 years of experience as an Operations, Safety and Reliability engineer and analyst, across major projects in rail, road infrastructure & oil and gas. He leads SYSTRA ANZ’s Performance and Risk business unit and has extensive experience in the successful delivery of analysis which adds real weight to decisions on complex operational and safety issues.
His skills range across zero emissions transport, transport network planning, RAM analysis, High Speed Rail, Risk, Systems & Safety Engineering, Regulation and Level Crossing improvement and management. He has executive and strategic leadership experience in both the private and public sectors, having reported to the Chief Executive of the NSW rail safety regulator, as well as sitting on national transport policy forums representing NSW.
