Mark’s career journey led firstly to a tenured Senior Lecturer position in Mechatronic Engineering at UNSW, where he built a research group driving the development of robotics and image processing in agriculture.
In 2022 he followed a lifelong passion to join the rail industry, changing career to Sydney Metro on a mission to reshape Sydney. He led operations planning for the WSA Metro – Glenfield Extension Final Business Case before being invited to join the burgeoning M1 Northwest & Bankstown line Operational Readiness team.
His experience across all aspects of readiness for the M1 line City section opening has been used to shape Operational Readiness for the Southwest section and ultimately improve transport in Sydney.
