Alain Ribat is Managing Director of Transilien, the SNCF Voyageurs division operating the Paris region’s extensive commuter rail network. With over three decades of leadership across transport, logistics, and finance, he brings a strategic vision to urban rail transformation.
Since joining SNCF in 2005, Alain has held senior roles across the organisation, including leading passenger services and freight operations. At Transilien, he directs the organisation’s strategic direction, overseeing major projects and managing financial and contractual frameworks, while driving large-scale transformation.
A graduate of ESSEC Business School, Alain is a key figure in shaping sustainable, integrated urban mobility in France. At AusRail, he will share insights on “Urban Rail Transformation: Integrated Solutions for Modern Mobility”, drawing on his experience leading one of Europe’s largest commuter rail networks through a period of dynamic change.
