Thierry Mallet is Chairman and CEO of Transdev Group, leading a global team of over 105,000 Journey Makers across 19 countries. Under his leadership, Transdev delivers 12.9 million passenger journeys every day, shaping the future of mobility through innovation and service excellence.
A graduate of École Polytechnique, ENPC, and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where he earned a Master of Science in Transportation, Thierry is passionate about the transformative power of transport, believing that mobility is a key driver of social inclusion, economic opportunity, and environmental transition.
Prior to joining Transdev, Thierry held senior executive roles at Veolia Group and Suez Group. from which he brings a rich background in infrastructure and operations, and a deep passion for sustainbility.
He plays a key role in actively strengthening business ties between France and the Pacific region, serving as Chairman of both the France-Australia and France-New Zealand Business Councils of MEDEF International. Through these roles, he fosters strategic partnerships, promotes bilateral trade, and champions innovation in transport and infrastructure.
Thierry also chairs GITL (Groupement Interprofessionnel du Transport et de la Logistique), and UTPF (Union des Transports Publics et Ferroviaires), the leading association for public and rail transport, advocating for sustainable and efficient mobility solutions.
