Chris is a chartered engineer with the UK Engineering Council and has over 35 years’ experience in freight and passenger rolling stock design and assurance. Having previous engineering roles in rolling stock design, manufacturing and consultancy. Chris is now responsible for leading the Downer Rail & Transit Systems (RTS), decarbonisation and freight engineering strategy. Chris supported Fortescue Zero with the development of a heavy haul battery electric locomotive prototype and is the Chief Engineer for the Downer RTS battery electric and hybrid locomotives under development.
