Geoff was introduced to SCT was in his early 20’s after working in Real Estate and Property
Development in Australia and overseas. From 1995 Geoff oversaw the procurement, design and
development of SCT’s rail intermodal terminals in WA, Vic & SA.
In 2002 Geoff was appointed to his current position of Managing Director of the SCT Group.
Under Geoff’s stewardship SCT has become a leader in rail innovation and technology, in both
terminal design and rollingstock. The company has grown into a diversified rail and logistics
business with 7 major intermodal terminals and its own rail engineering capability.
Geoff was recently appointed Chair of the Freight on Rail Group (FORG), which seeks to advance
the issues impacting the rail freight sector, including addressing the decline in rail freight against
road, network quality, decarbonisation and the impact of foreign flagged ships dumping services
on domestic freight routes
