John Slowey is a Principal, Safety Assurance at Think Systems. He qualified as an electrical engineer in 2001 and practiced as an electronic design engineer in the power electronics, telecommunications, medical devices and rail industries. More recently, his interest in systems integration and systems safety has seen him providing specialist Systems Engineering and Safety Assurance services to multiple large-scale transport infrastructure programs. He has worked in safety assurance roles for both client-side and delivery-side teams on programs such as Sydney Metro, Parramatta Light Rail and Automatic Train Protection, and is passionate about taking an integrated approach to safety assurance as part of a holistic project delivery process.
