Roger Weeks commenced as Chief Executive with NSW TrainLink in July 2024 and has over 19 years’ experience in the Commonwealth and State public sectors. NSW TrainLink provides regional rail and coach services for over 1.8 million passengers across NSW and into Victoria, Queensland, South Australia and the ACT.
Roger has been with Transport for NSW for the last seven years, with his previous role as the Chief Customer Officer overseeing branches responsible for delivering customer planning, public transport, service delivery and road network operations for regional and outer metropolitan customers and motorists. Previously, Roger headed Transport’s Compliance branch covering speed cameras, investigations, heavy vehicle compliance and prosecutions.
Before joining Transport, Roger had a 19-year career in the aviation industry, including spending 12 years with the Civil Aviation Safety Authority. In that time, Roger established a new Flying Standards branch and, as Executive Manager Standards, led CASA’s regulatory reform program. Prior to joining CASA, Roger was a commercial pilot.
Roger holds master’s degrees in business and aviation management from Newcastle University, a diploma in aviation safety regulation from Swinburne, has completed the Executive Fellows Program with the Australian New Zealand School of Government, and is a Graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
