My interest in the railway industry began in 1993, which developed into a career that has resulted in many opportunities that have broadened my knowledge, understanding, and experience in the unique areas of electrification and mobility. Over the years my roles have been varied, and at times hands-on, through engineering, bid management, and project delivery for traction transformers, traction motors, rollingstock, traction power substations. A career highlight would be when I was appointed technical manager to deliver a static frequency converter in the US in 2015. Since then, I’ve been involved in other static frequency converter projects and bids. Currently, I’m a project engineering manager, specialising in railway electrification for Siemens Mobility.
