Laura is a mechanical engineer at Australian Rail Technology (ART) with a strong international academic and professional background. She graduated from University College Dublin, Ireland, where she completed an undergraduate degree in Biomedical Engineering followed by a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering with Business. After relocating to Australia, Laura joined ART and has spent the past three years contributing to rail electrification and infrastructure projects across the network.
During her time at ART, she has worked extensively on projects involving 1500 V DC isolation system technology, building deep technical expertise in traction power safety and system integration. Laura is currently leading the development of ART’s first 25 kV AC motorised isolation system project in Queensland, marking a significant step in expanding the company’s capabilities in high-voltage rail electrification. She is passionate about delivering innovative, reliable engineering solutions that support the future growth and safety of Australia’s rail industry.
