Machinery and Demonstration Permits

Permit forms are required to be submitted to Exhibitor Services for the below activities: 

  • Demonstration Product or Equipment  
  • Vehicle Displays  
  • Excess Weight – Exhibition Halls (over 1000 KG) 
  • Container Delivery  
  • Cooking Activities 
  • Naked Flame 
  • Liquefied Petroleum Gas  
  • Drones  
  • Crane Permit  
  • Electrical Work  
  • Hazardous Substances  
  • Heavy Theming  
  • High Risk Activity (electrical, scaffolding, suspension display)  
  • Laser Activity  

Where an event or exhibition has demonstrations using portable electrical equipment, the Safety Manager must give special approval. Extra safety precautions must be taken to protect members of the public. These extra precautions must be complied with at all times, or the demonstration will be stopped. A current permit to demonstrate must be held.
