Supported by our AusRAIL PLUS 2025 Exhibition Theatre Partner, the Jacobs’ AusRAIL PLUS 2025 exhibition theatre is a purpose-built theatre that will host a multitude of presentations over the three days of AusRAIL PLUS 2025 for exhibition visitors and conference delegates.

Theatre presentations are free for all to attend, and the 30min presentation timeslots cover a wide variety of topics; from safety to signalling, innovation to sustainability, and more.

Mixed Reality for Train Driving and Operations – From Concept to Capability
Mixed Reality (MR) is transforming simulation-based training across industries, and rail is next. This presentation explores how Sogeclair combines high-fidelity MR headset, advanced graphics engine, and Sogeclair’s OksyGen simulation software to deliver immersive, cost-effective train driving and operations training. We’ll discuss MR’s proven effectiveness in aviation and automotive, the technical challenges and breakthroughs, and open architecture that enables advanced features like eye tracking, pupil analytics and virtual prompts. A demo of our prototype MR train simulator will showcase the integration of real cab controls with virtual environments, followed by a roadmap for scaling MR solutions in rail.
