SRA has cemented a foundation as the industry leader in ballast cleaning in New South Wales, having successfully delivered more than 330 kilometres of ballast cleaning in the Australian Rail Track Corporation (ARTC) Hunter Valley network since September 2014. SRA’s fence-to-fence betterment approach has been consistently applied throughout the program, successfully delivering corridor and track improvements to projects within the ballast cleaning site footprint and maximising reuse and recycling of spoil material removed from track. SRA’s core mechanised fleet includes two ballast cleaning and spoil wagon consists, high speed plain track and turnout resurfacing capabilities, operating at over 97% reliability.
