Ryuji Uchikado is the Head of Digital & AI Centre of Excellence at Hitachi Rail, where he leads the company’s digital transformation strategy and drives the advancement of intelligent mobility business worldwide. He is responsible for shaping and executing Hitachi Rail’s digital & AI vision, including HMAX Mobility, an AI-powered integrated platform that enhances rail performance, reliability, sustainability, and passenger experience.
With more than 20 years of leadership experience, including over five years in Silicon Valley, Ryuji has spearheaded global growth and enterprise transformation initiatives across the Hitachi Group. He played a pivotal role in expanding Hitachi’s digital and OT x IT integrated business, and shaping the company’s broader digital innovation strategy.
Ryuji focuses on harnessing AI and digital technologies to transform transportation systems and deliver smarter, and more sustainable mobility at scale.
