Natalie is a nationally recognised authority with more than 25 years in the public sector, leading significant safety regulation, policy, strategy and reform at both state and national levels. She is passionate about rail safety and is a strong advocate for safety improvement.
Natalie is the third National Rail Safety Regulator and ONRSR Chief Executive. Since being appointed to the role in 2023, Natalie has positioned ONRSR to enhance its regulatory intelligence framework for risk-based regulation, expand its collaborative relationships with key stakeholders, and to be a sustainable regulator demonstrating that it is efficient and effective.
Natalie’s extensive career includes leading challenging reforms solving multiple and conflicting issues while engaging with diverse stakeholders. Prior to joining ONRSR, Natalie was the Chief Investigator and Chief Executive of the NSW Office of Transport Safety Investigations and has held numerous senior transport roles in NSW Government.
