Tour 8: Metro Tunnel Project – Arden Station

Delegates will tour Arden Station, one of five new train stations set to open in early December as part of the Metro Tunnel Project. Arden Station is the first building in a new urban area within North Melbourne, setting a quality benchmark for all future development around it. The station’s entrance features massive brick arches, reflecting North Melbourne’s rich industrial history and character, and a major artwork by Australian artist Abdul Abdullah, Come Together, celebrating the communities of Arden.

Times

There are seven (7) tours to choose from, each 1 hour apart. The bus will leave 30mins prior to each tour starting. If your tour starts at 0900 the bus will leave at 0830.

This tour is sponsored by Metro Trains Melbourne. The $10 ticket fee covers administration and ticketing logistics.

PPE Requirements

Closed-toe, flat shoes are required.

Risk

Please note that due to the timing of the tours, in the unlikely event a critical operational request is required, the Metro Tunnel station may need to be changed or the tour cancelled. If this is the case, participants will be notified as soon as possible prior to departure.
