Foundered in 1964, Derby Rubber has developed a pedigree of innovation and competence. Glazing seals for Sydney’s famous Opera House and giant gate-seals for Sydney’s Warragamba Dam are some notable projects of our history.
In 1999 Derby Rubber commercialised the Ballastick® range of solid broom elements and in 2003 followed with the Hollow Ballastick®, developed for the EU market. Marrying innovative asymmetrical designs with impressively durable rubber compounds routinely achieve over 160km of track-sweeping durability.
Derby Rubber manufactures conventional and Ballastick® broom elements from its Adelaide factory, exporting approximately 90% of its broom elements to customers around the world.
Derby is also proud to be partnering with TinBin, the ballast sucker from Germany. The perfect solution for the careful and efficient daylighting of buried assets on and off the track.
