The Centre for Railway Engineering (CRE) is an industry focused research centre hosted by CQUniversity and located in Rockhampton. CRE is a provider of world-class research to the rail industry, delivering innovative solutions, engineering consulting and commercial outcomes.
Through its research and close collaboration with industry, CRE has become internationally recognised as a leader in the provision of applied engineering research for railway owners, operators and manufacturers. The Centre is specifically known for expertise in rollingstock, multi-body dynamics, simulation, condition monitoring and non-linear modelling and support for the rail industry with solutions enabled by high performance computing.
