Stephen is the Global Director of Transport Planning at Jacobs, responsible for developing and applying thought leadership, innovation and delivering global experience locally. He has over 35 years of experience in transport planning and has worked in more than 40 countries. He was resident in Asia for 10 years, working on many infrastructure projects. He led the consultants work for the “Davies Commission” into expanding airport capacity in London, and has led the demand and revenue analysis on a number of HSR and mass transit projects in the UK, USA, Italy, UAE, Hong Kong, China and Singapore. He has a particular interest in the use of big data in transport planning, and has led all Jacobs’s work in this area, including the Trip Information Study for Highways England, Project EDMOND for TfL, a study for TxDOT and currently the STEAM major model upgrade for Abu Dhabi DoT.
