Franco has worked in the field of railroad maintenance for 16 years with a focus equipment that maintains ballast and grade. A mechanical engineer by trade he has designed and supported delivery of equipment to customers around the world. His current role involves furthering the understanding of benefits and costs associated with ballast maintenance and supporting development of the next generation ballast maintenance machines. As an active member of AREMA he chairs the subcommittee responsible for ballast.
