James is an experienced strategic people leader within the Rail Industry, with over 15 years of experience
across Human Resources & Employee Relations and exposure in both the Passenger and Freight market segments.
Having completed senior roles supporting operations and project delivery, including a number of large scale domestic
rollingstock manufacturing projects, James is now proud to lead the People and Culture response for Downer’s Rail and Transit Systems division, ensuring the implementation of a strategic people management response in a rapidly changing labour market environment.
James has a Bachelor of Commerce and a Masters of Labour Law and Relations, and is passionate about creating and sustaining an inclusive workplace culture which reflects the ever-changing communities that Downer operates within.
