Jim Kelly is the Director of Health and Safe Design at SafeWork NSW. He is responsible for leading a range of specialist areas including workplace health, engineering, ergonomics, mental health and return to work.
Jim has extensive experience across many industries leading regulatory services and human resource teams in workplace health and safety (WHS) prevention, injury management, and rehabilitation. Recently Jim was instrumental in NSW being the first jurisdiction to implement Regulations for managing psychosocial hazards and codes of practice in Australia.
Jim’s current responsibilities include leading the SafeWork Health Care and Social Assistance Industry sector plan and developing SafeWork NSW’s first Health Work Strategy.
Jim is also a member of the Board of advisors for the Healthy Heads in Trucks and Sheds Foundation and a Citizens advocate for the Safety Governance Foundation.
Jim loves to spend time with his family, getting active in the outdoors and enjoying the sun and surf.
