Franco is a seasoned mechanical engineer with over 17 years of experience in the field of railroad maintenance, specializing in equipment that maintains ballast and grade. Throughout his career, he has designed and supported the construction and commissioning of innovative equipment to clients worldwide. In his current role, Franco is dedicated to advancing the understanding of the benefits and costs associated with ballast maintenance while spearheading the development of the next generation of ballast maintenance machines.

Franco is an active member of the American Railway and Engineering and Maintenance-Of-Way Association (AREMA), where he serves on committee 1 and chairs subcommittee 2, which is responsible for ballast. He brings his extensive knowledge and expertise to the table, collaborating with colleagues and stakeholders to drive innovation and growth in the industry.

Franco’s holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Minnesota (USA) and a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (BSME) from the University of Notre Dame (USA). His educational background and extensive experience in the field make him a valuable asset to any team or project he is involved in.
