Andrew Hyles has spent the majority of his career in transport roles in both the public and private sectors. Prior to commencing as acting Chief Executive Officer of the High Speed Rail Authority in June 2023, Andrew was an Assistant Secretary in the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Regional Development Communications and the Arts. During this six year period, Andrew occupied various roles leading the Air Cargo Security Branch, the Rail Policy and Planning Branch, the National Faster Rail Agency, the Classification Branch and the Platforms and News Branch.
