Aldridge Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) is the technology development division of the Aldridge Railway Signal Group. Aldridge ITS designs and manufactures level crossings that integrate state-of-the-art inductive wheel detection technology with wireless communication to wayside equipment. This avoids the costly exercise of digging of trenches, the use of high-powered track circuits or optimal environmental conditions for operation. Powered by solar panels and monitored via a web server, these crossings are low cost and are ideally suited to remote locations.
Aldridge Railway Signals has a wealth of knowledge across every aspect of the Railway Signalling. Aldridge designs and manufactures proprietary signal product on-site at Lidcombe and is capable of design and manufacture for all control systems, all backed up by full Engineering and Production Support. Aldridge is the Australian distributor for Kyosan and the Railway Equipment Company. Recently, Aldridge supplied signals to Inland Rail and Smart Signals to the new Sydney Metro. Aldridge exports signals to Thailand, Taiwan, United Kingdom, Malaysia, Singapore, Hong Kong, Sri Lanka, Indonesia, Philippines, Canada, Ireland and New Zealand.
